Gibson (5-8) allowed five runs, seven hits and four walks over five innings Tuesday against the Tigers. He struck out four in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
Gibson followed up his complete-game victory with a dud Tuesday. The four free passes fell one short of his season high set back on April 6 in his first start of the season. The 28-year-old has been less than impressive during his 2016 campaign, but Gibson has been at his worst lately. His 6.59 ERA and five homers allowed through five August starts are his worst marks for any month this year. Gibson's next start, Sunday versus a dangerous Blue Jays lineup, won't make life any easier for the right-hander.
