Gibson (4-6) allowed two runs on six hits and four walks over five innings Sunday while striking out two in a 6-3 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
It was hardly his sharpest outing of the season but with Miguel Sano putting on a power display, Gibson was just good enough to qualify for the win. After a solid July that saw him post a 3.69 ERA and 28:7 K:BB in 31.2 innings the wheels seem to be coming off for Gibson in August, as he now has a 4:5 K:BB in 9.2 innings through two starts to go along with an ugly 7.45 ERA. He'll try to turn things around Friday at home against the Royals.
