Giants transferred OF Andres Torres to the 60-day disabled list. This was done merely done as a procedural move to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Angel Pagan's activation. Torres recently underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his left Achilles, and is expected to be sidelined for the next six months.
