Giants placed LHP Jeremy Affeldt on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain. Affeldt had to leave Saturday's appearance with the injury. There's no word yet on how long he'll be sidelined, but it's certainly something that could take longer than two weeks. Jean Machi has taken his spot on the roster.
