Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that it's doubtful Jonathan Sanchez (ankle) will return this season. Sanchez hasn't pitched since spraining his left ankle on August 16. He was able to throw off flat ground on Tuesday, but there simply aren't enough days left on the calendar. The 28-year-old left-hander made $4.8 million this season and is arbitration-eligible for the final time this winter.
