Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Thursday that Matt Cain (hamstring) is not a lock to start on Saturday against the Cardinals. Cain threw a bullpen session Wednesday and ran and threw Thursday, but the club wants to make sure he's 100 percent. Ultimately, he probably will be cleared to take the ball Saturday in St. Louis, but he hasn't officially been given the green light yet.
