Giancarlo Stanton had an RBI single Friday in Team USA's loss to Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. Team USA was held scoreless until Stanton singled home Joe Mauer in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Marlins' sluggerr had a chance to do some real damage one inning later, but he popped out to shallow left field with the bases loaded. Team USA left seven runners in scoring position on the night, a bitter pill to swallow in a one-run loss which eliminates them from the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
