Tampa Bay selected Burdi's contract from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday.

Burdi is back on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster after being designated for assignment last Wednesday. The right-hander will take the place of Yonny Chirinos, who was optioned to Triple-A in the corresponding trasaction.
