Gerrit Cole yielded three runs over six innings and struck out eight Sunday as the Pirates beat the Yankees 5-3 to split a doubleheader. It was a tie game when Cole's day came to an end, but Josh Harrison's homer in the top of the seventh put him back in line for the win. Bryan Morris, Tony Watson and Mark Melancon combined to get the job done from there. While Cole hasn't been dominant, he has been solid and he still probably has a big run left in him. Right now, he's 4-3 with a 3.84 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings.
