Gerrit Cole was hit hard in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing four runs on seven hits in just five innings of work. On the plus side, he did manage to rack up six strikeouts while walking just one before departing. The big blow against him came on a two-run homer by Colby Rasmus in the fourth inning. The 23-year-old hurler has struggled to find consistency this season, compiling a 3.69 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32/12 K/BB ratio through his first 39 innings. He'll look to get back on track on Wednesday when he squares off against the Giants at home.
