Gavin Floyd turned in a strong effort against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing just two runs on seven hits through seven innings of work. Floyd struck out six and didn't walk a batter in the game. He allowed both runs in the second inning, on a pair of seeing eye singles through the left side of the infield. He rebounded nicely after that, and did enough to keep his team in the game, allowing them to rally late and pick up a victory. Floyd remains 2-3 on the season, but lowers his ERA to an impressive 3.03. He'll look to carry over the momentum from this strong performance when he takes on the Royals next weekend.
