Gavin Floyd turned down a bigger offer from the Orioles to sign with the Braves, according to the Baltimore Sun. The 30-year-old inked a one-year, $4 million contract with Atlanta on Monday. Baltimore countered with a two-year offer that could have been worth up to $20 million with incentives. The Orioles insisted on the second year because Floyd isn't expected to be healthy until May. Floyd, who posted a 4.22 ERA and 1.30 WHIP over seven years with the White Sox, will attempt to rebuild his value in 2014 and try out free agency again next winter.
