Gavin Floyd had another rough outing in a loss to the Cardinals on Thursday, giving up five runs on eight hits in just 4 2/3 innings of work.
Floyd struck out five but also walked four in the game. He looks completely lost at the moment and has now allowed four or more earned runs in each of his last six outings. Floyd has seen his ERA rise every season since 2008, and at 5.63 it doesn't appear poised to come back down any time soon. The White Sox may be best served considering replacement options to get Floyd out of the rotation, as he's currently a huge detriment to the team and its playoff chances. He'll attempt to get back on track when he battles the cross-town Cubs at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday.
