Gattis will catch and bat sixth in Friday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis will be behind the plate for the second time this season, this time catching for veteran right-hander Mike Fiers. His appearance in the lineup likely has to do in part with the fact that the Astros are facing a lefty in Jason Vargas. Gattis is 2-for-7 at the plate so far this season to go along with one extra-base hit.
