Gattis (illness) will not play Sunday against the Rangers, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Look for Gerald Laird to man the backstop in the finale against Texas, with Christian Bethancourt having started the last four for Atlanta. Gattis missed a fifth straight game Saturday due to strep throat and could remain out until Tuesday or Wednesday.
