Gattis (illness) remains out of the lineup Monday against the Pirates. Gattis has been out of the starting lineup since Sept. 7, and although he was able to work in a pinch-hit appearance this past weekend, manager Fredi Gonzalez will continue to rest his catcher. With the Braves' playoff hopes having fizzled away, there appears to be little incentive to rush the 28-year-old back to action.
