Gattis has been diagnosed with a kidney stone, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The initial diagnosis of strep throat was accurate, but additional tests revealed irregularities, leading to the discovery of the kidney stone. Now that doctors have found the source of the issue, the hope is that Gattis, who will miss a ninth straight start Wednesday, can return in the next day or two.
