Gant had strung together a respectable series of outings before getting lit up by Washington, which smells another division title coming its direction. He'll need to take some time to restore himself psychologically. If he does he has the control (8.4 BB%) and strikeout ability (9.4 K/9) to be a viable starter to watch next season.
