Freddy Sanchez (back) is confident he'll be fully healthy by spring training. Sanchez didn't appear in a game with the Giants this season due to shoulder and back surgeries, but he recently played in several instructional league games as a designated hitter. The 34-year-old infielder will be a free agent this offseason and hopes to make a team next year. He will likely have to prove his health with a minor league deal.
