FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mariners are interested in Jason Hammel, but "talks have yet to progress." Hammel has pitched his way into being a nice trade chip for the Cubs, putting up a 2.81 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 76/18 K/BB ratio over 83 1/3 innings. A handful of clubs will surely call the Cubs about the right-hander, and Chicago can probably expect a similar package to what they got last season for Scott Feldman.
