FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Marlon Byrd is "not an option" for the Royals and the Mariners' talks for the outfielder "remain stalled." Byrd has been connected to both clubs, but the Royals and Mariners are both on his no-trade list. The outfielder has said he'd be willing to waive the clause only if his $8 million option for 2016 is picked up. Byrd has also been linked to the Reds, and ESPN's Jim Bowden said last week that talks between Cincinnati and Philadelphia are ongoing.
