FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi report that Darren Oliver wants to return in 2013 but not for the $3 million option the Blue Jays have on him. The report states that Oliver "would rather retire than be away from his family for a salary that is well below market value." The Jays, though, reportedly are "over budget and unwilling to extend their payroll further." Oliver's wife and two sons live in Dallas, and the veteran left-hander would be willing to accept a trade to the Rangers, who he played for in 2010 and 2011. The 42-year-old produced a 2.06 ERA and 52/15 K/BB ratio over 56 2/3 innings this past season.
