Fowler (quadriceps) is expected to be available for Friday's game against the Pirates, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Fowler was kept out of action Thursday and, if tests prove him ready, he'll be available for the first game of the weekend series. St. Louis does want to be cautious, however, because of his previous leg injury this year. With that in mind, his availability might not necessarily mean a start. His owners should check if he's starting before leaving him in their lineups.
