Fowler (back) will join Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday and play in his first rehab game Friday. Fowler (back) has been on the disabled list since June 27 with a right intercostal strain, but finally appears to be on track for a return to the Astros. With the team out of the playoff hunt, they will likely give him as much time as he needs to return from the injury to avoid any complications. Fowler hit .270/.377/.396 over 76 with the Astros this season, similar to the production he saw with Colorado last year, but will look to get the Astros headed in the right direction in the final two months of the regular season.
