Fields is dealing with an oblique injury and is considered day-to-day, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports. Fields hasn't pitched since Sept. 9 due to the injury, and it might make sense at this point for the Astros to shut him down. He had been seeing a few save opportunities prior to suffering the oblique ailment with Chad Qualls dealing with an injury of his own, but Qualls has since returned to reclaim ninth-inning duties.
