Fernando Salas (shoulder) played catch on Tuesday. It's the first time he's done any throwing since he was placed on the disabled list on June 15 with right shoulder inflammation. There's no timetable for Salas' return to the mound. He's put up a 2.96 ERA over 27 1/3 relief innings for the Angels this season.
