Felix Doubront was lit up for eight runs and 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Rays. Doubront's second straight rough outing included one pitch completely spiked into the ground, resulting in a balk. Doubront missed enough bats to strike out six batters, but the Rays made plenty of quality contact, too, collecting a homer and four doubles against him. The Red Sox were probably thinking this could be a breakthrough season for Doubront after he showed up in great shape and looked strong in his first couple of outings. Inconsistency has always troubled him, though.
