Felix Doubront threw a five-inning simulated game Tuesday without feeling any discomfort in his knee. Doubront, who was placed on the disabled list retroactive to August 10, is on track to return to the Red Sox rotation this weekend. The 24-year-old lefty has a 4.70 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 122 2/3 innings this season.
