Felipe Paulino has elected to become a free agent. Paulino sat out the 2013 season due to lingering shoulder issues. But he's expected to be ready for spring training next February and should draw offers this winter. The 30-year-old righty had a 1.67 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings with Kansas City in 2012.
