Felipe Paulino (elbow, back) is hoping to resume his rehab assignment this weekend. Paulino was pulled off his rehab assignment earlier this month due to lower back stiffness, but he threw a 65-pitch simulated game Tuesday with no issues. He made just one rehab start before the back malady and will need a few more outings before being an option to rejoin the Royals' rotation. "All my stuff is ready, all I need is to just compete," Paulino said. "I need to throw in some game situations and test my arm."
