Padres manager Mike Shildt told 97.3 The Fan on Monday that Tatis (thigh) is at the Padres' training complex in Arizona and is ready to take live at-bats.

Facing live pitching will be another step in his progression toward a minor-league rehab assignment, which could be around the corner.
