Haniger went 2-for-2 with a run in a loss to the Pirates on Saturday before being removed from the game in the fourth inning with a quadriceps injury, per MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
Haniger's injury, which occurred on his leaping attempt at a Rowdy Tellez fourth-inning home run, put a damper on his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 3. The veteran outfielder has started to show some signs of climbing out of his season-long funk this month, as he is sporting a .256 batting average, .729 OPS and eight RBI across 41 August plate appearances, albeit while striking out at an elevated 34.1 percent clip over that span. Haniger is considered day-to-day for the time being.
