Ethier is scheduled to have an MRI on his back on Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

The tests are simply precautionary for Ethier, who was been dealing with tightness in his lower back for a few weeks now. He said if it were the regular season he would be able to find a way to play through the back stiffness. It doesn't seem overly serious, but it will be a situation to monitor and he should be considered day-to-day in the meantime.
