ESPN's Jim Bowden reports that the Reds and Phillies "continue trade talks" involving Marlon Byrd. Byrd has been linked to the Reds, Royals and Mariners this month and he's a good bet to be traded. The veteran outfielder has proved this year that his power outburst in 2013 was no fluke, hitting 19 homers over 98 games. He's making $8 million this season and in 2015 and has an $8 million club/vesting option for 2016.
