ESPN's Jayson Stark reports that the Marlins are telling teams that Ricky Nolasco won't be traded. Nolasco's agent, Matt Sosnick, told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick that his client wants to be traded, though no formal request has been made to the team. However, the Marlins appear inclined to keep him, possibly because they don't want the MLBPA to get angry at their continued payroll stashing. Nolasco is owed $11.5 million in 2013 before hitting free agency.
