ESPN's Buster Olney reports the Orioles are prepared to do a six-year extension with Matt Wieters. It's not much different than what we've already heard, but it's higher than the previous five-year deal the Orioles were offering. Wieters is under team control through 2015, so the extension would buy out at least his first three years of free agency.
