ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Rockies have had "extensive talks" with the Padres about closer Huston Street. The Padres are currently evaluating all options for the ninth inning now that Heath Bell has signed a three-year deal with the Marlins. Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reported Tuesday that the Rockies are willing to cover the $8 million left on Street's contract if they receive the right prospects in return. Street, 28, posted a 3.86 ERA and 55/9 K/BB ratio over 58 1/3 innings in 2011, collecting 29 saves in 33 opportunities.
