ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Pirates have been shopping closer Joel Hanrahan for a few weeks. The Pirates have discussed a possible swap with the Dodgers involving left-hander Chris Capuano, but they have also talked to other teams. Hanrahan earned $4.1 million this past season while posting a 2.72 ERA, 36 saves and a 67/36 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings in 2012 and is arbitration-eligible for the final time this winter.
