Escobar started the first two games of the Seattle series, but exited early Saturday after he was struck in the wrist with a pitch. The ailment kept him out of Sunday's series finale, and he'll sit for Monday's opener as well, giving way to Jefry Marte at the hot corner. Escobar should be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.
