Escobar went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The light-hitting third baseman took advantage of favorable hitting conditions at Globe Life Park, sparking the Angels' offense with a leadoff homer off of Nick Martinez. Friday's homer was the first sign of life from Escobar after going 2-for-29 over his last seven games. The 34-year-old continues to sit atop the lineup despite posting a sub-par batting average (.235) and on-base percentage (.286). Escobar has batted over .300 over the past two seasons, so there is a good chance he turns things around, but he simply isn't providing enough in any standard fantasy category that warrants a roster spot outside of deep leagues.
