Escobar is expected to miss the next 1-2 days with a hand laceration that he suffered in Monday's game against the Braves, Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington reports. Luckily for Escobar he came away from Monday's sliding incident, caused by the Braves' Andrelton Simmons, without stitches or structural damage to his hand. The Nationals will play it safe by resting him Wednesday and he should be considered day-to-day until the medical staff allows him to return. Dan Uggla and Danny Espinosa are the likely candidates to get a spot in the lineup during Escobar's brief stint on the bench.
