Escobar hit a solo homer and an RBI single in four at-bats Thursday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Now on his fifth organization, Escobar can't escape the title of journeyman, but that takes nothing away from what he brings to the Angels' lineup. Fantasy owners, too, can benefit from Escobar's surprising assignment in the leadoff role this year, as the 33-year-old should be in the lineup nearly every day. It'll be tough for him to replicate last year's .314 average, but something in the .280-plus range with double-digit homers and a nice helping of runs makes for a reasonable return on a low investment.
