Escobar (hamstring) was activated from the disabled list Thursday and is in the starting lineup against the Twins, batting cleanup and playing third base, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

As was thought to be the case, Escobar will in fact be activated in time for Thursday's contest. It's good timing for the Angels, who are currently dealing with injuries to regulars Mike Trout (thumb) and Cameron Maybin (side). Escobar should be in line for plenty of run-producing opportunities if he continues to bat cleanup moving forward. No corresponding move has been announced at this time.
