Escobar exited Sunday's game in the ninth inning with an undisclosed injury, LaVelle Neal of the Star Tribune reports.

Joe Mauer moved out of the DH spot to take over at first base while Miguel Sano slid over to third base in place of Escobar, who was injured on a slide while stealing second base. It's still too early to tell the severity of Escobar's injury, but it will be a development to monitor throughout the rest of Sunday. Escobar's positional versatility on the left side of the infield will be missed if he has to miss additional time beyond Sunday.
