Eric Hacker yielded three runs over six innings in a loss to the Padres on Friday night. Hacker pitched quite well in his first major league start, allowing eight hits while walking two and striking out seven. He was only up for a spot-start, but the quality outing may put him in consideration for another look at some point down the line. Look for him to be optioned back to the minor leagues on Saturday, though.
