EPSN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Padres have signed Josh Johnson to a one-year, $8 million contract. The deal also includes performance bonuses based on games started. Following a disappointing 2013 campaign, Johnson was looking for a one-year deal as a means to rebuild his value, and he certainly found a cushy landing spot. If he can manage to stay healthy, the big right-hander makes for a nice fantasy sleeper while pitching his home games at spacious Petco Park.
