Though Ellsbury's days off are typically limited to when the Yankees face a left-handed pitcher, he's coming off an 0-for-4 showing and hasn't gotten a break since June 7, so he'll head to the bench even with righty Chad Bettis set to pitch for the Rockies. Aaron Hicks will take over in center field and bat eighth Tuesday.
