Ellsbury (hip) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Royals, Ryan Hatch of the Star-Ledger reports.

The news isn't much of a surprised, as Ellsbury wasn't expected to return until Wednesday at the earliest. If he's unable to come back to the lineup in the coming days, a DL stint could still be in store.
