Ellsbury (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will set out on a rehab assignment soon, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellsbury recently took batting practice Thursday and has felt good without any affects of the concussion that has sidelined him since May 24. The outfielder has missed nearly a month of action now, but the Yankees will still remain cautious with Ellsbury, especially with Aaron Hicks proving to be a viable fill-in. There should be information on Ellsbury's rehab stint within the next couple days.
