Eickhoff (hand) will miss the rest of the 2017 season after being transferred to the 60-day disabled list Saturday, Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal reports.

There hasn't been any word on the results of Eickhoff's MRI from Friday, but the right-hander will indeed remain sidelined for the rest of the year after moving to the 60-day DL. The club made this move in order to create space for recently-acquired reliever Kevin Siegrist, while Eickhoff will begin to rehab and recover from the nerve irritation that was bothering him during his latest start. News regarding his condition is sure to be released within the next few days, but there shouldn't be much concern for his availability heading into the 2018 campaign.
